Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu


Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program is designed to teach our students the basics of standing and ground grappling.  Commonly translated as "the gentle art", Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu emphasizes the efficient use of strength and power through proper technique.  In a self defense context, this leaves a great deal more energy to defend oneself; in a larger context, it frees a student’s energy from fear and anxiety, and allows them to live a more effective and happy life.  If carried out to a natural, logical conclusion, Jiu-Jitsu can be applied to diet, clothing, business, finances - nearly every aspect of our daily lives.

Total Body Workout
Due to the nature of the techniques and exercises performed as part of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training, this program offers a total body workout different from anything you have done before!  

Self-Defense & Safety Skills
The reality is that most fights or self defense situations have a high chance of ending up on the ground.  The techniques taught in our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program will help to keep you safe on the ground, as well as an effective means of dealing with larger, stronger attackers.

Professional, Certified Instructors
Our instructors are trained and certified by Shihan Gene Dunn (Renzo Gracie 2nd Degree) and Professor Brian Glick.
